Half day Memphis & Sakkara in Cairo

We will start our tour at Memphis area, the oldest capital of Egypt to see the colossal statue of Ramses II, exhibited in a museum made of fine grained limestone – 13 m long & weighs 120 tons.  Then we will continue to the oldest Egyptian cemetery Sakkara to see the step pyramid built by the engineer Imhotep for King Zoser – it is of a mastaba type composed of six receding masatabas (steps) on top of each other 59ms in height. Sakkara is noted for the for the tombs of nobles that bear inscriptions showing daily life of Ancient Egyptians such as farming, animal breeding, hunting as well as religious rites and offering of sacrifice to the dead.
