Located in Tahrir square it houses an exquisite collection of Pharaonic antiquities, no Cairo tour is truly complete without a visit to the museum. The collection of 250,000 artifacts is diversely classified into statues, coffins and stone carvings, as well as, gadgets, tools, gold artifacts, jewelry. You are bound to watch in awe and astonishment the room of mummies, and the statue of King Akhenaton, Hatshepsut, and the truly wondrous collection of Tutankamun.
